membership work requirmentsTwo work days minimum are required per each membership as described below in order to be in good standing with the club.
A minimum of two work days are required throughout the riding season and one days is the Unadilla Pro flagging day. The second work day can be any type of work day (as described below). Flagging Day for "Working Membership"Safety flagger at the Unadilla Pro event. Sign up in advance per SATRA Membership Application. Expected to be “in position” on the track unless temporarily relieved or during normal breaks (after practice & before start of motos). All flaggers must be 18 years of age minimum. Counts as one (1) full work day towards work requirements.
Unadilla Club Ride Day Flagging for all members Due to our agreement with Unadilla, at our SATRA rides, we have to flag a few positions on the track to satisfy their insurance safety obligations. The time slots for flagging are one hour long, approximately six positions over a five-hour ride period (30 position hours total). In the past, some have had to cover multiple hour time slots in order for the ride to happen. If 30 riders attend for a day, then all time slots can be covered fairly. Although some members have non-working memberships, we require that all members , working and non-working, share the Unadilla ride flagging responsibilities. This is a unique situation that is the “cost” of riding at Unadilla for one and all. Exceptions are made if the rider has a friend, or family member, who can cover their hour of flagging. They do not need to be over 18 to flag at our club ride. Those that have working memberships (single and family), please sign-up for a flagging time slot before you ride. Family members that aren’t riders can fill a flagging position as well. |
Rider Sign-InResponsible for ensuring ALL riders sign ALL emergency contact sheets & releases at the club ride that day. Counts as one (1) full work day towards minimum work requirements. Sign-in sheets will be provided on site by a SATRA representative. The following are the responsibilities of the “rider sign-in person(s)”:
Each ride should have two sign in volunteers, so both members should still be able to ride during that day. other work
